Chaneyco Refratech Pvt. Ltd. is the modern continuation of a refractory house first established in 1968 as Chaney & Co. The current company was incorporated in 2011 when Chaney & Co was acquired and relaunched under new management. Today we operate as an ISO 9001:2015 certified refractory products manufacturer and total-solution provider out of Chakan, Pune — serving 1,800+ industrial customers across India and exporting through our DGFT-issued IEC.

Chaney & Co founded
The original Chaney & Co opens as a refractory trading house in Maharashtra, supplying fire bricks, mortars and insulating products to the early Indian industrial belt. The trading relationships and product knowledge built in this period remain part of our DNA today.

Acquired & relaunched as Chaneyco Refratech Pvt. Ltd.
Chaney & Co is acquired by the current management and the entity is incorporated as Chaneyco Refratech Pvt. Ltd. (CIN U51101MH2011PTC222909). The remit broadens from trading into a Total Refractory Solution: design, planning, supply, installation, dry-out, performance evaluation and lifecycle management.

Importer-Exporter Code issued
DGFT issues IEC 0311071333 in January 2012, formalising our ability to import specialty refractory raw materials and export finished refractories to overseas plants.

First ISO 9001 certification
First certified to ISO 9001 in 2018. The current certificate (No. 11553, ISO 9001:2015, AQSR / USAC accredited) covers Design, Manufacturing, Supply and Installation of all types of refractories, insulating products, acid proof material and technical services. Valid through September 2027.

A new, expanded Pre-Cast & Pre-Fired manufacturing facility is being commissioned at Chakan with larger casting bays, additional firing kilns and tighter tolerance control.
