Service · Total Refractory Solution

A refractory partner, not just a brick supplier

A brick on a pallet doesn't tell you which grade to specify, where the lining is going to fail next, or how to extend campaign life by 20%. Our Total Refractory Solution puts our engineers in your hot zone — before the order is placed and after the campaign ends.

A five-phase refractory engagement

Most failures start at specification, not at the brick. We structure each engagement so the engineering happens before the order — and the learning happens after the campaign.

1

Phase 1 · Site Survey

Walk the hot zone with your maintenance lead

Our refractory engineer visits the site, walks the equipment with your maintenance team, photographs wear pattern at every zone, samples slag and dust, logs operating cycle data (temperature ramp, hold, cycle frequency, fuel chemistry, throughput).

Phase 2 · Spec Design

Recommend grade, thickness and anchoring

Refractory specification document delivered within 5 working days of site survey: zone-by-zone grade selection, working-lining and back-up insulation specification, anchor scheme and spacing, projected campaign life vs. incumbent spec, and an honest call-out of trade-offs.

Phase 3 · Supply

Despatch from Chakan, sequenced to your shutdown

Materials despatched from our Chakan, Pune plant on the schedule your installation contractor needs. Working-lining bricks, back-up insulation, mortars, anchors, ceramic-fibre and PCPF specials sequenced so they land in the correct order on-site — not all on one truck three days late.

Phase 4 · Install Supervision

On-site supervision, dry-out monitoring, first heat

Optional service for high-stakes campaigns: our engineer is on-site for anchor inspection, mix-water consistency check during castable application, dry-out curve management and first-heat monitoring. The first 72 hours of a refractory life are where most premature failures originate.

Phase 5 · Post-Mortem

Walk the lining at campaign end — learn, then refine

After campaign end, our engineer walks the lining with your maintenance team. Wear pattern photographed and mapped, residual thickness recorded zone-by-zone, brick samples collected for petrographic analysis, slag-infiltration depth measured. The findings feed straight into the next-campaign spec.

Why we do it this way

A bag of castable doesn't have an opinion. Refractory engineering is what stops the lining from failing six months early.

Engineering before the PO

The cheapest brick is the right brick. We tell you the right grade for the zone before the PO, even if it's a smaller line item.

Single point of accountability

One supplier from spec to post-mortem — no finger-pointing between brick supplier, castable vendor and installation contractor when something fails.

Compounding lining life

Post-mortem feeds the next spec. By campaign 3 or 4, the lining is engineered for your specific operating conditions — not somebody else's textbook case.

Quality

ISO 9001:2015 (Cert. 11553)

Plant-level QMS independently audited. Spec, despatch, install supervision and post-mortem are all under documented procedure.

Heritage

Refractory work since 1968

Originally Chaney & Co; relaunched as Chaneyco Refratech Pvt. Ltd. in 2011 with the Chakan, Pune plant. Five decades of lining failures observed and engineered against.

Export

IEC 0311071333 — Active

Export-cleared since 2012. We engage with overseas plants under LC and DA terms across GCC, SE Asia and Africa.
