Linings for boilers, incinerators and biomass plants

AFBC and CFBC boiler refractory has one job: survive bed material at velocity. Choose the wrong grade and you'll be patching cyclone tiles every 6 months and replacing bed-coil shrouds every shutdown. We supply the abrasion-tested low-cement castables, SiC-bonded tiles and PCPF burner blocks that boiler refractory contracts actually want.

Equipment we line in Power & Energy

For each piece of equipment below, we list the wear pattern we engineer against and the product families we typically supply. Click any product pill to see grades, specifications and FAQ for that family.

AFBC Boiler — Bed Tube Shrouds & Coils

Wear pattern: Bed-material abrasion, thermal cycling at start-up/shutdown, mechanical impact

What we supply: SiC-Si3N4 bonded tiles (sourced/locally), low-cement abrasion-resistant castable (LCC, AR-grade), corundum-mullite shapes

AFBC Boiler — Sidewalls & Furnace

Wear pattern: Abrasion at lower furnace, thermal-shock at burners, slag deposition above bed

What we supply: Low-cement 60% alumina castable, ceramic-fibre back-up modules, refractory anchor bricks

CFBC Boiler — Cyclone & Loop Seal

Wear pattern: Severe abrasion from circulating bed material, thermal shock, mechanical erosion at cone

What we supply: Recrystallised-SiC tiles, SiC-Si3N4 bonded shapes, no-cement chemically-bonded LCC castable, PCPF cyclone targets

CFBC Boiler — J-Valve / L-Valve Loop Seal

Wear pattern: Bed-material flow erosion at U-bend, thermal cycling at start-up

What we supply: Low-cement castable + SS needle fibres, monolithic SiC-bonded patch mass for hot repairs

Waste-to-Energy / Incinerator Hot Zone

Wear pattern: Chloride attack from RDF/MSW combustion, slag from glass and metal in waste, thermal cycling

What we supply: SiC-bonded bricks, low-cement chrome-corundum castable, ceramic-fibre crown insulation

Biomass / Bagasse Furnace

Wear pattern: Alkali attack from K-rich ash, thermal cycling, abrasion at superheater shields

What we supply: Alkali-resistant 70% alumina castable, ceramic-fibre back-up, PCPF burner-tile shells

Hot-Air Generator (Paper, Process)

Wear pattern: Thermal cycling, light-end soot deposition, mechanical from grates

What we supply: Insulation bricks (Group 23/26), 60% alumina hot-face, ceramic-fibre back-up insulation

Reformer Arch / Sulphur Recovery Unit

Wear pattern: Hot-face thermal cycling, H2/CO reducing atmosphere, sulphate attack at SRU

What we supply: Insulation bricks Group 28, 70% alumina hot-face, ceramic-fibre + calcium-silicate back-up

Supply & Despatch

We supply boiler refractory packages to power plants in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and AP/Telangana. Material packages typically include LCC castables, SiC tiles, ceramic-fibre back-up and PCPF burner blocks coordinated against the planned shutdown schedule.

Power & Energy questions, answered

Quick answers to the questions plant maintenance teams ask us most often.

Are your boiler-grade castables ASTM C704 abrasion-tested?

Yes. The AR (abrasion-resistant) grade castables we supply for boiler service are tested per ASTM C704 — typical loss is 4-7 cc at room temperature, depending on grade. Test certificates accompany each despatch.

Can you supply complete shutdown material packages?

Yes. We coordinate boiler-refractory packages — castable, gunning mass, SiC tiles, ceramic-fibre, anchors — against your shutdown bar-chart so material lands in correct sequence.

Do you supply pre-cast cyclone targets?

Yes. CFBC cyclone targets, vortex-finder shields and loop-seal dampeners are PCPF specials — pre-cast at our Chakan plant, pre-fired and shipped install-ready.

How fast is your dispatch to power plant sites?

Same-day dispatch for Pune-belt plants; T+3 to T+5 for pan-India. For planned shutdowns we recommend material delivery 5 working days before shutdown so installation contractors can stage on-site.
